Tell us about yourself
—I am Mihika Joshi pursuing banking and insurance from M.L. Dahanukar college of commerce.
I have been an active member of Rotaract club of MLDC for 3 years. I have been a part of NIVESH held by BBI-BFM students for 2 years after which I was promoted to Head of the event 2014-2015.
I have a keen interest in managing events and taking part in social activities.
Tell us about your college
—M.L. Dahanukar College is one of the best colleges in Mumbai. I have been a part of this college for the past 5 years, hence the college is very close to my heart. It has developed me as a human being and has given me various opportunities to help me explore my talent.
Saying about a favorite faculty would be wrong as all our teachers have contributed the best in their own way .
Being a Dahanukarite for so many years , some of the best memories of my life are from this college. The happiest moment was all the three outstation IV’S , those days just cannot be explained through words.
The saddest memory is yet to arrive, that is when I would leave this college in a couple of months after my graduation.. These years will always play a major role on my entire life.
The most memorable moment were the time spent during the festival NIVESH . It was an amazing experience for me being the HEAD of the event. It helped me completely explore my potential.
When did you join BBI? Which year you are in? What inspired you to choose BBI and not any other course?
—I joined BBI in the year 2012-2013 and currently I am in the last year of the course.
Banking and insurance forms an integral part of the economy and I was curious to know as to how the bank functions internally. Also, banking and insurance are the sectors which will always flourish providing better opportunities in future.
According to you, what is BBI all about? As a student, what changes would you like to bring in Indian education system?
—BBI is all about being well versed with the functioning of the banking and insurance sector. This course enhances our financial literacy.
I feel that the education system is theory based and does not include practical aspects.
Due to this the students are knowledgeable but fail to apply the same.
Who in your life has influenced the most?
—My father has played the most influential role in my life.
What would you advice someone planning to do BBI?
—I would suggest to them that it’s a good career path as banking and insurance sector has shown a steady growth since the last few year ..It will enable them to avail good job opportunities .

— a) What edge does an MBA degree have over other degrees ?
b )What would be the job prospective after completing MBA in Finance?
c)Which institute would be preferable to pursue MBA ?
What are your future plans? (Your ambitions)
My ambition is to acquire MBA in finance and secure a job in a reputed Bank.
